On Friday Oct. 25, “Venom: The Last Dance” was released by Sony. The movie starred Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom simultaneously. This was a sci-fi action movie and was the last Venom movie. There are three movies in total regarding Venom, who is a symbiote and a different version of Spider-Man.
Because this was the last Venom movie, the killing of Venom seemed to make many people emotional and upset. During the past two movies, Eddie Brock and Venom had been best friends where Venom was built-inside of Eddie, giving him the power to transform completely to Venom whenever he willed.
“I loved this movie and I think that it had the perfect ending,” said Ayla Qawas, senior. “It was very emotional because it was the last movie.”
This movie contained a lot of action which took place on airplanes, trains, old forgotten factories and scientific labs, which were a crucial part of the film.
“The CGI (computer-generated imaging) in the movie was spectacular,” said Sakina Akbar, senior. “All the action scenes and fighting scenes were the best.”
As the action scenes took place in a lab, several versions of Venom appeared in multiple colors like red, green, and purple. This never occurred in the past two movies, which created a plot-twist any people weren’t expecting.
“I loved the different Venom colors that were present in the lab,” said Sakina Moosabhoy, senior. “They were so pretty and it made me so excited watching the battle between all of them.”
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film has made $90 million in the box office in the United States.
