On Sunday morning, the anxiously awaited cast list for this year’s production of “Grease” was posted on the Drama group website. There were mixed reviews from all who auditioned.
There was discontent over the amount of juniors who received parts over seniors. While seniority does not always determine the students who get roles, it is usually taken into consideration.
“I think [the juniors] are going to do an amazing job and I think they’re really talented, but I think there are seniors who could’ve done just as good of a job,” said Kristin Collins, a senior in the musical.
However, Laura Nelson, junior, who received the role of Jan, was very happy with the casting, as were many others in the cast.
“I am just so excited about the cast list. I think it’s going to be a great show; we have really strong actors and performers,” Nelson said.
