Haunted Hustle 5K: On Oct. 29, the Oak Brook Park District will host a family-friendly haunted 5K which runs through Central Park. There’s a Spooky Sprint before the 5K for kids where they are invited to wear costumes. There is also an after party with a costume contest.

Family Fall Festival: There will be a Family Fall Festival at Hinsdale Middle School on Oct. 22 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. The festival includes a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, carnival games, trick or treating in downtown Hinsdale and inflatables.

Chamber of Commerce Annual Family Trick or Treat Downtown: Families are invited to trick-or-treat in the village of Clarendon Hills on Oct. 29 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. The businesses of Clarendon Hills will be giving out candy as well.

Haunted Forest Tour: For $6 per person, the Westmont Park District is hosting a Haunted Forest Tour. On Oct. 22, there will be ‘spooky’ tours from 5 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. and ‘sheer terror tours’ from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. The tours include a trail of haunted woods narrated with a guided tour on haystacks.
