Hinsdale Central has a new marketing agency
Hinsdale Central’s new marketing agency is a student-run organization designed to serve as a marketing agency for Hinsdale Central’s sports, clubs and activities.
“We create and provide marketing services to increase the publicity of existing school organizations,” said Karen Russo, club sponsor.
Brooke Peterson, junior, got the idea for the agency because of her experience on the poms team where one of the dancers is usually employed to make the team gear.
“Nobody really wanted to take the time to make the team merchandise, so we would always end up with mediocre
merchandise,” Peterson said.
And it turned out that other teams and clubs had the same issue.
“I thought it would be a good idea to have a club of students that actually had an interest in marketing to be able to design merchandise for other clubs and teams,” Peterson said.
The club meets on an as-needed basis in room 229.
“It is a laid-back, fun, collaborative environment,” Russo said.
The club has only had two meetings and has already begun brainstorming for their upcoming projects.
“This year, the main project is making a new logo or slogan for the lanyards and t-shirts for the next school year,” said Chloe Mannarino, junior.

This is an interesting idea! As someone who ain’t in District 86 (actually I go to Naperville Central), I kinda want to take inspiration from this.
