There is a new Sky Zone that just opened this September in Westmont, Ill. It is on Ogden Avenue and has generated a lot of buzz for Central students, many of whom find it closer than the other Sky Zone located in Elmhurst, Ill.
Sky Zone appeals to kids and teenagers who seek a thrill given its expansive trampolines. It also includes activities such as basketball, dodgeball, slides, rock climbing and ziplining to name a few.
Illinois has more than 10 locations with each offering different programs as well. Visitors can choose to become members of the indoor park, host a birthday party or partake in age-appropriate activities.
Visitors can expect to spend $27.99 plus tax for a standard pass for 90 minutes or $35.99 plus tax for an all-day pass.
Attractions:
Battle beam
Battle Beam is where you knock people off with foam sticks into a foam pit.
“It’s very cool, ” said Charlie Hoyt, junior. “My favorite is the battle beam.”
Boulder Balls
They are big air filled balls roughly the size of three feet, allowing you to bounce off and around them.
“I love Sky Zone,” said Joey Fodor, senior. I love going on the trampoline and bouncing into the foam pit.”
Soft Play
It’s where toddlers can play because they can’t go to other attractions. This area includes a soft-padded jungle gym that includes climbing and slides. All children playing inside are required to wear socks only.
Family Slide
You can race with a friend on a slide that is approximately 10 feet tall and four feet wide, providing thrills for adults and children.
Air Dash
It’s an obstacle course where you can race your friends. It includes balls to run on top of, with a foam ball pit to catch your landing if you happen to fall.
Air court
You can play basketball or volleyball on this air court that adds a challenge given its bouncy floor, even providing height for those who typically cannot slam dunk.
“My favorite attraction at Sky Zone is the air court because I like dunking on people,” said Owen Stamer, senior.
Overall, I love the Sky Zone because it offers a variety of activities for all ages. Sadly, I couldn’t get into the Westmont one because it was fully booked. It has all of the attractions that the one in Elmhurst has to offer but with some additional ones.
