“Outer Banks” season four part one premiered Oct. 10. Fans and students couldn’t wait to dive back into the drama. Central students had a variety of opinions and insights about the making of the season, the performances, and the overall reception.
Emerson Cassell, sophomore, said that this new season was better than the last one, but still didn’t live up to the original, and that the parts releasing separately was inconvenient.
“I wish that it would have come out all together so then I don’t forget what happened,” Cassell said.
She also mentions how she wishes the season came out in the summer rather than the fall, for more of a “summer vibe.”
Junior Izzy Tornabene has seen all four seasons.
“I have seen every season since they started the show,” Tornabene said. “I didn’t really enjoy this season as much as the rest before this because I feel like they are kind of forcing things in the show now.”
However, Tornabene has a different view on the release time.
“I don’t mind how it came out during the fall, since I had a couple shows to occupy my time during the summer,” Tornabene said.
Tornabene also said how she wished it came out in one whole part rather than two so that she could have more time to watch the episodes.
Finally, Senior Maya Reed talked about the differences between the seasons.
“[The] second season is my favorite, and I think the production from season two to four is a lot different,” Reed said.
Reed also mentions how she does not like the fact that season four came out in the fall.
I enjoyed watching the new season of “Outer Banks” and seeing the similarities and differences between the past seasons and this new one. I think that the previous seasons have lived up to a higher standard. I would rate this season a 6/10.
