Halloween is only a few days away and the spooky spirits are high at Hinsdale Central. The general opinion is that nobody is too old to dress up, and most students have more than one costume they are wearing this Halloween. Whether it’s a pop culture, trendy, or classic Halloween costume the students are excited to show off their looks.
One of the major debates this year is when Halloween weekend is going to be because Halloween is on a Thursday,
“I say both weekends, as the more costumes, the better,” said Katelyn Hernandez, senior.
However, other students disagree.
“I think one weekend is enough, two is unnecessary,” said Joao Loranco, senior.
The variety of costumes are large this year, but the classic costumes remain.“I am being Padme from ‘Star Wars,’” said Lillian Lucht, senior.
Other people have more trendy costumes related to 2024.
“I am being Travis Kelce,” said Charlie Turek, senior.
Some students are even participating in group costumes,
“Me and my friend are dressing up as Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus,” said Lily Videbeck, senior.
Whether or not the costumes are related to pop culture events from this year or if they are the classic costumes from the past decade, many students will be dressing up this year.
