The Fornite OG season dropped Dec. 6 2024, and it left players with mixed feelings.

The new Fornite season brings back the old Chapter One Season One map players missed, but in my opinion, it is filled with players who are way too good at the game. There are also barely any shields available to use in the game. 

“I’m excited that they brought back Chapter One but I’m not as good now rather than back in the day,” said Teddy O’Hara, senior.

The original  loot pool is back with the original traps, heals, and guns, which are all tools to use in the game.

From my perspective, the loot pool is not too good. There are a ton of mid-tier weapons and not that many epic or legendary weapons (that perform better than lower tier weapons.) 

“Chapter One feels like a depression,” said Jake Turnbull, senior. “I’m stuck with no shield for the whole game and only have common or uncommon loot.” 

For every two months, a new season drops for Fornite OG, so in February, season two comes, then in April season three comes out, etc.

“I’ve gotten 86, 78, and 79 [place] back to back to back times [because] i’m just not good at the game anymore,” said Silas Hirschmann, senior.

Overall, the season is fun to play with friends but not alone. If you are really good at the game, you could have some fun in solos, but if you are more of a casual player like me, I would try to stick with friends.
