The room is charged with excitement as Central’s robotics team meets for the last time before they head out to St. Louis, MO. There is light chatter of subjects as trivial as room and restaurant arrangements, as well as serious discussion about robot game plans, which a few members of the team draw out on the white board.

Throughout the robotics season, the members of the team have advanced from championship to championship like seasoned professionals. Looking at its impressive record, no one would guess the team was founded just this year by junior Jordyn Imaña.

Rookies of the year, Red Devil Robotics will soon represent the country at this year’s Robotics World Championships later this week in St. Louis. Though somewhat shocked to have achieved so much success so soon, the robotics team is confident in their robot and are grateful to be attending the event.
