Standard Market and Standard Market Grill have been local favorites for years. The Westmont location is the perfect spot for grabbing a quick lunch or picking up groceries. Standard Market’s newest extension, Standard Tacos & Margaritas, does not disappoint.

As soon as you walk in, you’ll feel as if you’re walking into a taco stand on a beach in Mexico. The vibrant orange and blue walls stand out immediately. There is seating available inside and outside. The menu consists of a variety of tacos, burritos, and salads.

I decided on the burrito which was made up of cilantro green rice, refried pinto beans, queso fresco, shredded lettuce, and pico de gallo. The lettuce was crisp and the pico de gallo was fresh. If you would like to add more to your burrito, chicken and pork are available for $2, and shrimp and steak for $3 extra.

Also on the menu are chips, salsa, and guacamole which are staples to any Mexican meal. In the back of the restaurant is a complimentary salsa bar, with salsas ranging from mild to hot, and is the perfect way to customize your meal.
