Hinsdale Central boys’ volleyball falls to Glenbard West
On Wednesday, May 3, Hinsdale Central’s boys varsity volleyball team faced off against Glenbard West in the main gym at Hinsdale Central. Glenbard West came out victorious, winning 25-20 in the first set and 25-22 in the second set.
This game was considered one of the most contentious of the season, potentially deciding who wins the West Suburban Conference title. Both Hinsdale Central and Glenbard West were ranked in the top three of their conference.
“Glenbard West is one of our fiercest competitors,” said Aadit Bhavsar, junior and varsity volleyball member. “We both really bring our all to the court.”
Regardless of the outcome, the Red Devils have still been working hard to do their best in not only the Glenbard West game but all of their competitions.
“Every single day these boys give it their one hundred percent effort,” said Tom Gilbert, head volleyball coach. “They stay confident even if things aren’t going well.”
The team now holds a record of 20-5 and ranking fourth in the West Suburban Conference. Their teammates have been working together on and off the court to uphold this ranking.
“Our team knows how to work well together,” said Aiden Bonino, senior and varsity volleyball member. “Everyone can count on each other when someone needs help.”
