As a five-day break approaches, many students around Central are planning fun activities for Thanksgiving and the days after.
Joey Hagen, junior, said that he is very excited for Thanksgiving break.
“I can’t wait to spend the week with my family, friends and finally getting a break and relaxing at home,” Hagen said.
He also mentioned that he is going to his grandfather’s for Thanksgiving dinner and is waiting to try all the foods there.
Sophomore Chiara Jovic says that she also has Thanksgiving plans for next week.
“We are going to Michigan to see my family on Wednesday. I love seeing all my cousins at family gatherings, and I love all the food options to eat,” Jovic said.
Jovic also mentioned that she loves dressing up for Thanksgiving.
“Something I love about Thanksgiving is the cute outfits to wear for Thanksgiving dinner. I love dressing up and taking cute pictures,” Jovic said.
Finally, senior Maya Reed has many plans for this Thanksgiving week.
“Next week I am going to the city on Wednesday, spending the night there, and then coming home Thursday morning for Thanksgiving with my family,” Reed said.
Reed also talked about how she plans on getting ready for the Christmas holiday during next week.
“Thanksgiving gets me excited for Christmas. We are taking our Christmas card pictures on Saturday, and then probably going to do our lights after that,” Reed said.
Jovic also said that she can’t wait to start decorating for Christmas right after Thanksgiving.
Students at Hinsdale Central are looking forward to their couple of days off. Many students had similarities in plans. Personally, I am very excited for this Thanksgiving break and for the time away from school and to be with family and friends.
