The Powderpuff game took place on Monday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. on Tower Field. It is a Hinsdale Central tradition of organizing a game every year where junior and senior girls compete in a flag football game. This year, the winners of the game were the juniors.
“It felt amazing playing at the game,” said Arianna Messana, senior. “It was really fun and I had an awesome time.”
All students joined together with school spirit and played against different grade levels. Students who didn’t participate came to watch the game and cheer on other players.
“I went to show school spirit and win the game,” said Insiyah Moosabhoy, senior.
As the game went on everyone cheered for one another and made the field into an exciting and fun environment. Students made touchdowns and passes thriving to win and enjoy the game.
“We played our last game together as seniors and didn’t have to social distance from each other,” said Emma Knight-Jones, senior.
The game was eventful and left everyone thrilled to play and cheer for teams and lifted school spirits and homecoming events.
“Best part of the game was cheering the girls on when they went, and then them cheering me on,” Messana said.
