Girls Tennis headed to State Finals on Oct. 18.

As the Girls’ Tennis season wraps up, the players and coaches prepare for state and conference.

As JV is undefeated, the girls and their coach are preparing to enter the end of the season with state in mind.

Gianna Dugan, sophomore, started playing last year for the school. “There is a lot of competition this year [as schools that were not doing so well are] really coming back into the competition,” Dugan said.

Coach Doyle and Cedra Jazayerli, sophomore and JV tennis player, are both experiencing the toughest part of the season. “When we are first given our partner, it takes a lot playing with that person to know their weak side and strong side,” Jazayerli said. courtesy of Cedra J

The chemistry between players has been evident given their winning record. “The girls are really playing well this year,” Coach Doyle said.

When it comes to practices, most players enjoy the schedule. The practices start with a warmup and stretch. After that, there are drills to introduce the athlete to new skills. Practices go from 3:30-5:00 p.m. every day after school.

Varsity headed to state on Oct. 18, with results expected on Oct. 20.
