Humans of Hinsdale Central: Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving is the perfect time to relax and spend time with family and friends. Hinsdale Central students and staff were asked to describe their highlights from break.
“The highlight of my break was cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my family. My grandpa has his own secret vodka sauce recipe that my family loves. It’s a tradition in my family to make this pasta,” said Sophie Biancalana, junior.
“This Thanksgiving I stuffed a turkey with my great-grandma. It was a really fun experience because I was able to eat the turkey that I stuffed,” said Kyle Shrader, senior.
“I spent a lot of time with my family, especially my brother who I had not seen in a year. We got to catch up and talk about life which was nice,” said Tammie Madden, security officer.
“The highlight of my break was spending time with my family and friends who I had not seen in years. [Another highlight was] making memories with my kids, like going to visit Santa,” said Mr. Michael Jazak, science teacher.
“I went to Arizona because most of my dad’s side of the family lives there and we ate Thanksgiving dinner together and the next day we went Black Friday shopping at one of the malls there,” said Catie Clark, junior.
