Prom is quickly approaching. Along with it comes stressing out and, of course, the prama. To some seniors, a vital part of prom is the pictures. As the saying goes, everything needs to be absolutely “picture perfect.” Therefore, finding the perfect location is key.

Hinsdale, in typical Hinsdale fashion, has a wide selection of prestigious country clubs to choose from. However, the most popular setting this prom season is Ruth Lake Country Club. Ruth Lake has always been a fan favorite, but this year especially there is going to be an excessive amount of groups there. Seniors Payton Katich and Annie Jablonski, both in separate groups, will be using Ruth Lake for their prom picture destination. Shelby Long, senior, ran into some problems with her original plan for Ruth Lake.

“The construction at Ruth Lake has caused some major prama,” Long said. “The moms do not want our prom pictures to have bulldozers in the background.”

The group then decided to move their pictures elsewhere.

Another typical spot for pictures is the Hinsdale Golf Club, where Rachel McCann, senior, and her group will be enjoying the scenery. According to Anna Blanchard, senior, the simplest place is at someone’s home.

“My group is choosing between two of our friends houses,” Blanchard said.

No matter what the dance goers decide on, they agree that the pictures don’t stop before the dance and are already in discussions of the best Navy Pier locations. Prom is May 2 at Navy Pier’s Crystal Gardens.
