As we head into the deep end of the notoriously brutal Chicago winters, students at Hinsdale Central are preparing by wrapping up in different forms of Fratagonias. Patagonia is a brand that makes clothing designed for outdoor sports such as climbing, snowboarding, surfing, etc.

Patagonias are wildly popular at Hinsdale Central and for someone who doesn’t own one, they must be wondering why. For the people that do own one (or in many cases, multiple) the answer is obvious.

“Patagonias are so warm and comfortable so I always wear them in the winter,” junior Brooke Secola said.

Arguably the most popular type of Patagonia amongst students are the fleeces. Personally, I would describe them as wearing a blanket. They are so soft and will keep you warm as it gets colder.

While trying to keep warm with Patagonia, the down jackets are also a popular item that you can see frequently while walking around Hinsdale Central.
