It’s October, and the fall season has just begun. As the weather gets breezy and the leaves begin to fall, students have begun wearing their cozy “fall fits” to school. To many the magic of fall comes in the outfits. Students look for warmth, comfort, and most importantly following current fashion trends.
A highlight fashion statement in fall outfits are the famous Ugg slippers or mini boots. They’re popular in neutral beige and brown colors, super comfy, and go with every outfit.
“I live in my ugg slippers…I wear them with jeans, leggings and sweatpants, they get me in the comfy fall mood,”said Ayah Sabki, senior.
Girl students have used apps such as Pinterest, Tiktok, and Instagram to get inspiration for their fall outfits. Fall fashion for teen girls these days includes sherpa sweaters, sweat sets, and basic tees. All clothing is popular in white, black, bridge, and brown during the fall. Denim has also been a hit for ladies this season. Paired with a sweater or cute top makes it the simplest and cutest fall staple.
“I love wearing a dark wash jean and a comfy cozy sweater, it keeps me cozy and warm as I strive in the perfect temperature balance, I love to curl my hair and put a little braid in, fall is my favorite season everyone I know tells me I’m so fall so it means a lot to me,” said Eeman Sheikh, senior.
The guys have also taken part in these fall fashion statements with new additions to their outfits. Boys at Central like to dress in flannels and basic tees. To give their outfit an outstanding look they enjoy pairing it with baggy jeans and a pair of gym shoes.
The most popular fashion clothing staple for guys are hoodies. It’s the perfect clothing piece to stay cozy and warm throughout the fall season. Guys at Central have been spotted wearing the trending Carhartt hoodies. Many guys within school continue to wear shorts as the weather in Chicago gets colder.
“[I like to wear] shorts and a sweatshirt, maybe some sweats,” said Cole Bero, senior.
Chicago is notorious for having a short fall season, but here’s to hoping we get these vibes through the end of November.
