The popular online fashion brand “Edikted” has officially opened a new retail store at the Oakbrook center in the suburbs of Chicago, and students at Hinsdale Central are ecstatic about it.
Through trending styles and a large social media presence, Edikted has gained popularity over the past few years specifically amongst teenage girls. This new location is the first ever Edikted location in all of Chicago, so people from the suburbs and city area have rushed to visit it.
“I am obsessed with Edikted clothing. Their pieces are so unique but I hate online shopping. This new location is such a convenient addition to my favorite mall and I know I will be there all the time,” said Judy Atassi, senior.
This new location allows customers to shop the brand in person instead of only online, making it easier for them to try on clothing and process returns and exchanges. Many shoppers say this makes a big difference.
Edikted offers a variety of clothing ranging from denim, comfort wear, outwear and accessories that follow current fashion trends. This location features a modern layout with eye-catching displays and neatly organized sections.
“I went to the opening party and won a free gift. The line was long to get in but the wait was worth it, the store is huge, aesthetic and clean,” said Lia Malhes, sophomore.
On April 25, this new location hosted a grand opening event offering free gifts to the first 100 customers. The lines were filled from people within the Chicago area and excited to see the new store. The addition of Edikted to the Oakbrook Center helps the mall stay current with fast-changing fashion trends and online brands moving into physical places.
“The staff were in training but they were so sweet and helped keep the store organized and tidy. They were very helpful in helping me find certain pieces that I was looking for online,” said Sherine Nehme, senior.
The new Oakbrook Edikted staff team have been training to help keep the store in check and many people have complimented their kindness and respect. Edikted is expected to become a popular spot within the mall so staff is prepared to work hard to keep the store clean and presentable to customers.
Edikted is most popular for its denim jeans that include unique styles. This location has a section dedicated just to them which customers have found very convenient. The store is set up with lots of pink shades and bright LED lights giving it a colorful and arousing environment.
The opening of Edikted is surely expected to draw more visitors to the mall, especially teens and young adults looking for trendy and affordable fashion. As the store settles into the Oakbrook Center, it may become the new go-to spot for shoppers looking to keep up with the latest styles.
