Boys and girls lacrosse prepare to end the season strong

The boys lacrosse team is 8-7, recently winning against Huntley High School. According to MaxPreps, the team is currently ranked the 25th best team in Illinois.

“Beating Whitney Young would help us get a little momentum in the playoffs,” said Iyden Khan, senior.

Their next game is against Whitney M. Young Magnet High School on Wednesday, May 2 at home.

“Hopefully we can beat Whitney Young, but I’m pretty sure we’re gonna win,” said Adam Ortiz, senior.

The girls lacrosse team is 11-4, recently winning against John Hersey High School and Carl Sandburg High School. According to MaxPreps, the team is currently ranked the fourth best team in Illinois.

“My goal for the season is to win the state championship because we made it there last year,” said Makenna Schultz, junior.

Their next game is against both Wheaton Warrenville South High School and Wheaton North High School on Saturday, May 4 at home.

“Beating Loyola Academy in the playoffs would be nice because they beat us in the championship last year,” said Ella Parker-Briones, junior.
